Where Art Meets Design

"My Design Work is a Natural Combination of My Background in Illustration and Commercial Art.

My illustration training developed my eye for drawing, composition, color, visual storytelling, and creating original imagery. I bring those skills into my logo and branding work, where creating a distinctive visual identity is at the heart of the project.

My commercial art and design training taught me to take those creative skills a step further—to communicate a message visually, work with typography and layout, understand an audience, and create designs with a business purpose. Those skills have become an important part of my website design work, where good design isn't just about making a site look appealing; it's about organizing information and creating a cohesive visual experience for the people using it.

Together, these two areas of my background allow me to approach branding and website design from both an artist's perspective and a commercial designer's perspective."

Moore College of Art & Design an all female college in 1875.

Sarah is an experienced commercial artist with a career dating back to the 1990's. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising Illustration at Moore College of Art and Design in 1990, and later became certified with Adobe in digital design in 2016. Since 2017, Sarah has been operating as an independent contractor.

After her college education, her early years were working as a newspaper production artist, painting, designing, selling jewelry, and teaching, while raising her two wonderful sons.

EducationTraining

In 2016 - 2019, Sarah ventured back to college as an older adult in a classroom of "kids" her own children's ages, and completed 4 computer courses at Del Tech college, and certified her computer skills and use of the Adobe Creative Suite.

Since, she has achieved the highest WIX level "Legend" Level in the WIX Partner Program with a large number of custom websites she has built and manages, along with her other branding and design services.
